Dr Ilina Singh will be speaking in London at this upcoming ADHD conference. Hosted by the Royal College of Psychiatrists, the conference will explore issues in the NICE Guidelines on ADHD and Stimulant use.  Conference topics include: • MTA Study - Long term impact of assessment and treatment • Early prevention of failure & crime • Parents perspective • ADHD NICE Guidelines • Treating ADHD Pre-school • The transition of adults with ADHD & trouble with the law • Perspectives and beliefs of children and parents • Living with ADHD – A service user's perspective • Challenges in developing services.  See the conference website for more details and registration information.

The meeting will run for two full days, November 13-14, at the headquarters of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington DC, including an evening session on November 13 hosted by the Dana Center. The program will consist of invited symposia, a debate, an FYI session with announcements of neuroethics-relevant information from the assembled group, break-out lunch discussions, a business meeting, coffee breaks and a reception. Symposium topics include forensic neuroscience, neuroeconomics & decision making, controversies in pediatric neuropsychiatry, deep brain stimulation & functional neurosurgery, the business of neuroscience, and neuroscience & national security.  Additional information about the meeting can be found at the Neuroethics website.

Dr Ilina Singh will be speaking on Thursday, November 6th 2008 at London's Dana Centre, a public forum for the discussion of science and technology issues.  How Happy are You? will discuss issues of wellbeing and mental health, the UK Foresight Report on Mental Capital and Wellbeing, cognitive enhancement and others.
